Dr Muriithi is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Kenya) and a sub-speciality training Fellow in Urogynaecology at Singleton and Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals in the United Kingdom. He holds an MBChB from the University of Nairobi, an MMed in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Aga Khan University, and an MSc in Evidence-Based Healthcare from the University of Oxford. Additionally, he is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in the UK. He is also a Doctoral Researcher focused on Global Women's Health, including global urogynaecology at the University of Birmingham.

Prof Corlia Brandt started working as a physiotherapist in private practice in 2000, whereafter she entered the academic field and obtained her Masters degree in Physiotherapy and PhD degree on pelvic organ prolapse at the University of the Free State, South Africa. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in epidemiology and is associate professor at the University of the Witwatersrand – continuing her passion for integrating research, clinical practice, and teaching, and developing pelvic health suitable for an African context.
She has published several papers in international journals and presents often at international congresses - where her research has also been nominated for an award. She serves on several national and international executive committees/boards and is also currently president of the Southern African Sexual Health Association.
