I live in the Gold Coast, Australia and moved here to complete my Urogynecology fellowship.

I am a subspecialist urogynaecologist working as part of the public urogynaecology team at Gold Coast Health and the Queensland Pelvic Mesh Service, as well as in private in Brisbane as part of Queensland Pelvic Floor Services (Greenslopes Private Hospital). I am apart of the IUGA Fellows, Trainees, and Early Career Professionals committee and currently the chair of the IUGA FTECP webinars subcommittee.
When and why did you decide to join IUGA?
I joined IUGA about 3 years ago when I decided to subspecialize in Urogynecology as I felt it was a great platform to connect with specialists and peers with similar specialty interests and to be more involved in research and education.
What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?
Being part of the IUGA Fellows and Trainees committee!
What is the last book you read or movie you saw? Would you recommend it?
Dark Sacred Night by Michael Connelly - great detective novel; would definitely recommend it.

Reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

I'm working as a Fellow in Urogynaecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at AIIMS New Delhi India. My area of focus and interest is Urogenital fistula and pelvic floor dysfunction.
When and why did you decide to join IUGA?
I was introduced to IUGA by my mentor, I was looking for resources and training opportunities in Urogynecology and found IUGA as a great platform for the same.
What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?
To be a member of public relations committee and having interaction with people all over the globe with similar interest are the most memorable IUGA experience and many more to come.

I am currently live in Malaysia
Tell us about your work - your job title, where you work, how long you've worked in the field, areas of focus or research, etc.
I am currently in my second year of urogynaecology training (total of 3 years). I am also a clinical lecturer in one of the public university in Malaysia (University Putra Malaysia). I am interested in pelvic floor health particularly early prevention and also various surgical techniques in vaginal surgery.
When and why did you decide to join IUGA?
2022. I decided to join IUGA to have more networking in the field of urogynaecology, the gain knowledge from the experts, to get opportunity for any collaborations and to share and exchange experience with colleagues from all over the world.
What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?
The very first time I joined the IUGA annual meeting. I had the chance to meet so many knowledgeable consultants. Listening to the inspiring and eye-opening talk, research findings and wonderful workshops.

I currently live in Israel, not far from Tel Aviv, got back here a few months ago after spending three years in London. Missed the sunshine.

I work as a senior physician in the Urogynecology Unit at Wolfson Medical Center, where I have also done my ObGyn training. Got back after a fellowship in Urogynaecology at University College London Hospital.
When and why did you decide to join IUGA?
I have been a member for a few years now. Initially, I joined so I can use IUGA resources such as IUGA academy, however, I have stayed a member after meeting wonderful, interesting colleagues from around the globe.
What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?
It will have to be IUGA in Vancouver in 2017, I have met some truly inspirational people who still guide me to this day, and of course, the location was fantastic.
What is the last book you read or movie you saw? Would you recommend it?
"The freezing order" by Bill Browder and the "Henna Artist" by Alka Joshi, are two completely different styles, both wonderful.
I would also recommend "The Hospital by the River"' a must-read for every Urogynecologist in my opinion.
What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy reading, playing catch ball and beach volleyball, and traveling both around my country and abroad.
What is one "fun fact" about you?
I can make a very good cheesecake, but my culinary talents end there.

I am working as a Consultant Urogynaecologist in KK Women's and Children’s Hospital, Singapore after graduating from my fellowship in 2020. I serve as an Assistant Professor in both Dukes-NUS and LKC-Imperial Medical School, Singapore.
When and why did you decide to join IUGA?
I discovered my passion for Urogynaecology during my rotation in the Residency program. The first step I took to materialize my passion to reality was to join IUGA in 2014. IUGA provided me a platform to connect with global experts and shares ideas with like-minded people from around the world. Moreover, I could access a large variety of online resources.
What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?
IUGA 2019 The Hague, The Netherlands. Despite facing challenges with the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic, my video presentation under the guidance of my mentor Dr Salwan, RWH, Melbourne, Australia was selected under the best video category. It was such a surreal moment for me.
What is the last book you read or movie you saw? Would you recommend it?
Movie: The Elephant Whisperers. Amazing story of unlikely heroes - a simple couple who have devoted their life to looking after elephants. Truly inspirational!!
What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Reading, travelling and spending time with family.

I'm originally from Canada but moved to Sydney for medical school. I fell in love and am here to stay.

I recently completed subspecialty training in Urogynaecology. I am starting private practice in Sydney and have a public appointment as a Urogynaecologist at The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

I joined IUGA when I was in O&G training. I thought it had fantastic resources and I wanted to get involved.

Like any good Canadian I spent my youth on the ice rink as a competitive figure skater and ever since the move to Australia have been in search of a hobby I feel as passionate about. You may however find me working on my tennis serve or reliving the 80’s at my regular attendance at step class workouts.

I am a Senior Lecturer and Clinician specializing in Women's Health Physiotherapy. With a focus on innovative teaching methods, my courses cover areas such as pelvic floor rehabilitation and prenatal/postnatal care. In clinical practice, I specialize in hands-on care and rehabilitation, with a keen interest in specific patient populations. Additionally, my passion for research is evident through active involvement in projects that contribute to advancing knowledge in women's health physiotherapy.

I currently live in Utrecht, the Netherlands. I moved here to attend medical school and started my residency pogram here as well.

I am a sixth (final) year OBGYN resident and decided to dedicate this year to urogynecology. I mainly work in a specialized urogynecology department at the Bergman Clinics, which is a tertiary referral center for urogynecology. I have been interested in urogynecology since my rotations in medical school, which I finished in 2010. After medschool I started working as a resident and urogynecology research fellow in Utrecht and in Cleveland Ohio and started my OBGYN training program in 2015.
When and why did you decide to join IUGA?
I joined IUGA during residency. I was inspired by a few urogynecologists who have been a real role models for me and decided to persue my carreer in urogynecology.
What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?
IUGA 2010 in Toronto, which I joined as a medical student was definitely a highlight. It was my first international conference and I got to know many colleagues in the field. It was a warm welcome in the world of urogynecology. I attended many annual meetings after that.
What is the last book you read or movie you saw? Would you recommend it?
The last movie I saw was ‘Knives Out’, a surprising plot and would for sure recommend it.
What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
After work I enjoy going to modern dance workouts and Pilates classes. Besides, I love traveling, the outdoors, cooking and eating.

I currently reside and practice in Birmingham, United Kingdom. After successfully completing my undergraduate studies at Charles University in Prague, I made the conscious decision to enter & complete the UK Foundation Programme and secure a national training number in the obstetrics and gynaecology training programme in the UK, following a competitive selection process.
Driven by my passion for urogynaecology, I specifically selected the United Kingdom due to its esteemed reputation and long-standing tradition of excellence in this field. Renowned for its world-class training centers and opportunities for professional growth, the UK became emerged as an ideal environment for developing my academic and clinical skills. Settling in Birmingham has not only allowed me to contribute to the medical community here but also to immerse myself in a vibrant and culturally diverse city that I am proud to call home.

I am currently undertaking my residency training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Birmingham Women's Hospital in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Over the past six years, my professional journey has involved completing a research fellowship in Urogynaecology at Birmingham Women's Hospital, in collaboration with the Institute of Metabolism and Systems Research at the University of Birmingham.
During these initial stages of my career, my primary research focus has been on medical device technologies and clinical trials within the field of urogynaecology. This research endeavor has not only enhanced my understanding of urogynaecological conditions but has also fuelled my passion for advancing patient care. I am therefore, steadfast in my commitment to enhance patient outcomes and improve their quality of life through ongoing research and innovation.
When and why did you decide to join IUGA?
As a first-year medical student I had the opportunity to attend my inaugural IUGA meeting in Toronto Canada back in 2010. Prof. De Lancey's captivating lecture on the fundamental biomechanics of pelvic organ prolapse left a lasting impression on me. Moreover, the inclusive and vibrant atmosphere of the gathering was truly inspiring. It was during this event that I realized the progressive ethos of the IUGA society and its ambitious environment would provide the perfect platform for me to connect with peers who shared my research interests.
What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?
Presenting the interim results of my research at the IUGA conference in the Netherlands in 2023, as well as being given the opportunity to serve the Trainee members from the position of a Trainee Committee member have been two of my most memorable experiences thus far within the society.

I live in Melbourne, Australia. I was born in Sri Lanka and moved to Melbourne with my family when I was 11 years old and have lived here ever since.

I am a resident doctor at Monash Health. I am interested in women's health and aim to specialise in obstetrics and gynaecology. I am the immediate-past chair of the Pre-Vocational Obstetrics & Gynaecology Society for Australia and New Zealand, and sit on the IUGA Education Committee as well as the Fellows, Trainees, and Early Career Professionals Committee.
When and why did you decide to join IUGA?
In my previous roles within the Pre-Vocational Obstetrics & Gynaecology Society for Australia and New Zealand, I worked with IUGA to host multiple educational webinars for medical students and junior doctors. I have been an IUGA member since our first webinar in 2022 as I have found that IUGA is a great way to meet senior clinicians and like-minded peers, while expanding my urogynaecology knowledge.

I’m currently living in South London, having recently moved here for work.

I’m doing a Urogynaecology Clinical Research Fellowship with Professor Cardozo at King’s College Hospital. Prior to this, I was undertaking my Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in the Oxford Deanery.
When and why did you decide to join IUGA?
I’ve been an IUGA member for over a year. I decided to join to make connections with like minded people from around the world! As well as to make use of the huge variety of resources.
What has been your most rewarding or memorable IUGA experience?
It has been a great experience meeting other IUGA members at the various conferences. I’m looking forward to more of them!

I currently reside in São Paulo, Brazil. I was born and raised in this bustling metropolis. While I had the opportunity to study abroad, I ultimately returned to São Paulo to further my education and career here at the Federal University of São Paulo.

I am a PhD student at the Federal University of São Paulo. I completed my Ob-Gyn residency and Urogynecology fellowship at the same institution.
My research interests are broad but include surgical techniques, OAB (Overactive Bladder), and the urinary microbiome.
When and why did you decide to join IUGA?
I joined IUGA during my fellowship in Urogynecology. During this time, I found inspiration in exceptional urogynecologists who served as role models, igniting my passion for the field and fueling my desire to become a part of this global community through their guidance and mentorship
