IUGA members can share their urogynecological cases with the group, whether that's from their research or interesting cases they've recently seen in their daily practice. Season 1 Episode 4: The pelvic floor ultrasound podcast

In this episode, we talk about pelvic floor ultrasound with Professor Ka Lai Shek and Professor Hans Peter Dietz. Ultrasound offers us a way of visualising clinically hidden aspects of structures involved in incontinence and/or pelvic organ prolapse. It can help us in diagnosing pelvic floor defects caused by childbirth and is a possible tool for future prevention strategies.

In this episode we discuss current treatment and prevention strategies of Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injuries.
It is often unrecognized that trauma in the delivery suite to the pelvic floor, and in this case the anal sphincter complex, can have a lifelong impact on a women’s quality of life.
