Designed specifically for practitioners in countries where urogynecology is not yet recognized as a subspecialty, the InSpIRE Program (International Specialist and IUGA Recognized Expert in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction) provides a unique opportunity to gain formal recognition for your expertise and commitment to urogynecology. It acknowledges medical professionals who have reached key educational and experiential milestones, offering external validation of their expertise and dedication to the field.
Who is it for?
The InSpIRE program is tailored for physicians practicing in countries without a formal urogynecology subspecialty. It provides a pathway for these professionals to gain recognition for their knowledge, skills, and dedication to pelvic floor dysfunction.
What is InSpIRE Recognition?
InSpIRE recognition is not a certification or accreditation. Instead, it confirms that a practitioner has achieved a standardized level of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in urogynecology. It highlights individuals who have met specific educational objectives and gained essential expertise in pelvic floor dysfunction.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have at least five years of experience as a consultant.
- Be part of a multidisciplinary pelvic floor team.
- Meet IUGA membership and educational participation requirements.
- Have attended the last three IUGA Annual Meetings (either in person or virtually).
Application Process
The application window opens annually, with the first cycle running from November 15, 2024, to February 1, 2025. Applicants must submit a detailed report of their professional experience. Applications will be reviewed by an IUGA taskforce, and successful candidates will be recognized at the IUGA Annual Meeting and featured on a dedicated page on the IUGA website.
Benefits
InSpIRE recognition helps practitioners distinguish themselves as experts in the field, fostering patient trust and advancing their careers. Additionally, recognized professionals will be included in IUGA’s "Find a Provider" directory, enhancing their visibility within the global urogynecology community.
