Dear Colleagues and Friends,
As a consequence of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and continuous restrictions and limitations regarding travel and hosting events by governments and health authorities, the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) Regional Symposium will be held this year as a virtual event, August 26-27, 2021.
It is organized by IUGA, the Thai Urogynecologists Society (TUGS), and the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.
In South-East Asia, as in other regions, pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) is a global burden. This scientific program will address fundamental, clinical, and practical issues in pelvic floor dysfunction, with experts from Asia and around the world. Highly respected internationally renowned speakers will share and discuss their experience and scientific advancements that will impact every day and future clinical practice and research regarding female pelvic floor matters. Moreover, topics of interest for common challenges and solutions from different perspectives and from diverse cultural backgrounds will be included. Attending this symposium will certainly provide a beneficial impact on women affected by PFD not only in Asia but all over the world.
It is my great pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the Organizing Committee, and to invite you to attend the IUGA Virtual Regional Symposium 2021 to be hosted August 26-27 this year.
We look forward to an exciting meeting that promises great scientific knowledge and discussion.
Sincerely,
Jittima Manonai
President, TUGS
